Best Christmas Lights In Baltimore County

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — We asked and dozens of readers responded with their favorite festive light shows around Baltimore County. Essex — 1504 Galena Road. "Lots of lights and music; great for everyone," one reader said.

Halethorpe — 5713 1st Avenue. Countdown to Christmas, train, Santa's feet out of the chimney and other decorations are featured at this location, described as a "destination for people in the area."

Joppa — Franklinville Road at Sycamore Drive. Next to Little Gunpowder, up from the steel bridge, see the light display.

Kingsville — Raphael Road less than a mile from Philadelphia Road. The display is on the left side coming from Philadelphia Road north.

Phoenix — 3729 Stansbury Mill Road. "Our house is all lit up again with ice skaters and lots of characters," said the homeowner.

Timonium — 53 Greenmeadow Drive; the show benefits Toys for Tots.

Towson — 4 New Forest Court. The display is reportedly visible off Cromwell Bridge Road by Loch Raven High School.

Baltimore City

Hampden — Miracle on 34th Street, 720 West 34th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211. The entire block is decked out for the season. Several homes have themes, and some owners invite guests up to see the various festive treasures in store. It's open from 5-11 p.m. nightly until Dec. 31.

Rodgers Forge — 14 Murdock Road, Baltimore, MD 21212.

Fells Point — 1715 Thames Street, Baltimore, MD 21231.

Pimlico — 5607 Bland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215.

Lake Avenue/York Road, Baltimore MD 21212. "A private home. Absolutely breathtaking," one reader said.
