BGE Restores Power Following Outage in Perry Hall

About 6,000 customers were without power for about an hour Friday.

A tree fell on BGE power lines Friday causing a outage that affected thousands of the utility's Perry Hall customers, spokeswoman Rachel Lighty said.

The tree fell at about 1 p.m., knocking out power to a BGE substation. About 6,000 customers were without power for a little over an hour.

BGE crews restored power to all those affected by 2:15 p.m., Lighty said.
