Boat Fire Critically Injures 1 In Baltimore County: Officials
One person was hospitalized following a boat blaze at a marina in Essex, Baltimore County fire officials said.
ESSEX, MD — One person was hospitalized following a boat fire in Essex Wednesday night, according to authorities.
The fire occurred at the Sue Island Marina in the 800 block of Baltimore Yacht Club Road.
Crews were dispatched after 8 p.m. to the marina, where a boat was ablaze.

The fire was extinguished by 8:40 p.m., according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
Officials said the boat fire victim, who was taken to the hospital, suffered critical injuries.

Firefighters from Bowleys Quarters, Middle River and North Point participated in the response, which included fire boats and scuba teams, according to the Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter's Association.
