Bunny Breakfast is Back

Perry Hall Improvement Association president Dennis Robinson invites you to come meet a new neighbor over bacon and (Easter) eggs.

Let’s be honest.

To most children, Easter is a time of bright colors and chocolate-laden egg hunts. For parents, however, it should be a time to come together as a community, says Perry Hall Improvement Association president Dennis Robinson.

The association is poised to host its third annual Bunny Breakfast this weekend, and don’t worry—despite what the name might suggests—there won’t be rabbit on the menu.

Instead, attendees will find rolling Easter egg hunts, activities for kids and an opportunity to bond over bacon with a Perry Hall neighbor that you might not have met yet.

“Come with neighbors, friends, family members and actually interact with people in a more meaningful way,” Robinson said.  “I think the event has served its purpose. I know I always meet new people. ... Overall the point of it is to promote more interaction between attendees.”

Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Gunpowder Lodge, 10092 Belair Road. The annual gathering is free to Perry Hall Improvement Association members. Although attendees can become members at the breakfast.

Membership pricing:

  • One-year individual membership, $6
  • Two-year individual membership, $10
  • One-year household membership, $12
  • Two-year household membership, $20
  • Lifetime membership, $100

Donations are also welcome. Police officers, firefighters and teachers who work in Perry Hall will be admitted for free, as well.

“They are just as much a part of our community,” Robinson added.

The event has been fine-tuned since its inception balancing breakfast seating and ongoing Easter egg hunts. Robinson said even at the program’s busiest times attendees haven’t had to wait longer than 15-20 minutes for seating.

He encouraged anyone on a wait to consider an upcoming egg hunt start time, which are scheduled on the hour starting at 9 a.m.

“If we get the sense that there is a large group of kids, we may do some on shorter intervals,” Robinson said.

Also this weekend, Richardson Farms, of White Marsh, will be hosting its own Bunny Breakfast, featuring a breakfast buffet, games and prizes, face painting and photo opportunities with Mr. E. Bunny. We're told the event has limited seating up to 250 people and will sell out. Reservations and other details can be found here.
