Camp Chapel Development to Close Segment of Cross Road

The developer has been given a green light to close a portion of Cross Road between July 1 and July 29.

The portion of Cross Road between Chapel Road and Honeygo Boulevard may be shutdown at times during the month of July for utility and road work construction for the 39-home Reserve at Camp Chapel development.

The closures could last from July 1 to July 29, according to an email from Keith Link, engineering program manager for Baltimore County.

From the email:

"The Permitee [Developer DR Horton] hereby understands and agrees that it shall be the Permitees sole responsibility to: (a) obtain all federal, state, and local permits, as needed for its work; (c) provide the necessary lights and barricades signs for the safety of the traveling public; and (d) provide an adequate detour, when and as required by any governmental authority, and have such detour sufficiently marked to provide the traveling public with an easy and direct way for either getting back to the road from which they turned off or close to it by means of detour signs."

See what Councilman David Marks has to say about the planned closure.

It is unclear at present between what times of day the road will be closed. Stick with Patch as we continue to update this story.
