'Coach Greg' Redmer Jr. Passes Away At 42

Gregory "Coach Greg" Dennis Redmer Jr. passed away Wednesday, June 26. He was 42 years old.

Redmer was the husband of Jamie Leigh Redmer; father of Brad Lee Redmer, Cetta Reece Redmer, Brooks Brodee Redmer and Brenden Reed Redmer; son of Teresa Redmer Zerhusen and her husband Steven and Gregory Dennis Redmer Sr. and wife Cheryl; son-in-law of James and Donna Miller; grandson of John Polkowski; brother of Steven John Redmer Sr. and Brittany Leigh Connaghan; nephew of Elizabeth Grist and Al Redmer Jr.; uncle of Steven John Redmer Jr.; and cousin of Melissa, Buddy, Corey and Andrew, according to his obituary, which stated he was also survived by many loved ones.

Redmer was a coach for the White Marsh Warriors travel baseball team.

"Heaven received an angel to help out god's ball team," one comment on his online obituary said. "He will be missed by so many and never forgotten."

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, and Monday, July 1, at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, July 2.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Joshua Hamer Memorial Scholarship Fund, 703 East Churchville Road, Bel Air MD 21014 or White Marsh Baseball, Greg Redmer Jr., Memorial Fund, 5311 Forge Rd., White Marsh MD 21162.

Interment will be at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Rosedale, MD 21206.
