PERRY HALL, MD — There are 27 cases of the new coronavirus in Perry Hall in the 21128 ZIP code, according to data released Wednesday. To protect the privacy of those who have tested positive for the virus, Baltimore County is not reporting on ZIP codes with fewer than seven cases, which is the situation in neighboring areas of White Marsh, Fork, Glen Arm and Joppa.
Testing remains limited in Maryland, where the Maryland Department of Health says: "Generally, only patients who exhibit symptoms and are at high risk require a test."
Overall, Baltimore County is reporting 4,160 cases and 203 deaths, with another 15 deaths believed to be related to COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, according to the Maryland Department of Health.

In Maryland, officials say 34,812 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus and 1,694 have died from COVID-19. An additional 115 have COVID-19 listed as a cause of death on their death certificates, but test results are pending.

Where To Get Tested For Coronavirus
These symptoms of the coronavirus can appear two to 14 days after exposure, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.

Health officials say most people with the virus will experience mild symptoms and can recover at home.

Those who do not have a health care provider can call the Baltimore County COVID-19 Hotline from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 410-887-3816.
People should call 911 and seek immediate medical attention if they have trouble breathing, bluish lips or face, new confusion or inability to arouse and/or persistent pain or pressure in the chest.
