CRIME: Kingsville Cell Tower, Nottingham Apartments Burglarized

Valuable backup batteries that could power a cell tower along with a bevy of high-priced electronics have been stolen. Read the crime log below for details.

Crime Log:
Nottingham
Joppawood Court, unit block. Between 8:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 15. A Playstation 3, two controllers, a pair of Air Jordan Concord 11 shoes and 3 pairs of Nike Foamposit shoes were stolen from an apartment. The total value of the items stolen is estimated to be $1,700. Burglars got inside the apartment through an unlocked bathroom window.

Mitnick Court, unit block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 12. Two televisions, an MP3 player and a watch were stolen out of an apartment. Burglars got inside by breaking a sliding glass door with a brick.
Kingsville
Philadelphia and Raphel Roads, between 12:48 and 12:53 p.m., April 6. A burglar stole four Cricket Communications cell tower backup batteries valued at $350 a piece. The burglar entered the fenced-in cell tower yard via an unlocked gate and then used a special key to unlock the base cabinet, which housed the batteries.
