WHITE MARSH, MD — Vincent Farm Elementary School was evacuated Thursday once a fire alarm went off, officials said.

Before 10 a.m., the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported it was called to the 6000 block of Ebenezer Road, where a fire alarm had activated.

Officials said a faulty air duct smoke detector was responsible for the activation of the alarm, and maintenance at the school was handling the situation.
