MDTA Modifies Express Lane Closure Schedule
Crews will be updating hardware and software at the toll facilities near Baltimore, necessitating the closure, transportation officials say.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Express Toll Lanes will be closed to southbound traffic until midday Saturday. Closing the lanes will allow crews to replace hardware and software, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Initially, the plan called for the closure to last through Monday, but officials abbreviated the project time table.
Now, the closures will impact the Express Toll Lanes on I-95 south from 8 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday. During that time, drivers should use the main lanes on I-95 south during the closure.
