Flood Warning Issued For Baltimore County, Baltimore City
BREAKING: An inch of rain has already fallen, and another inch is possible in the next few hours, the National Weather Service warns.
BALTIMORE, MD — A flood warning is in effect until 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14. The National Weather Service issued the warning around 7 p.m. after radar detected up to an inch of rain had fallen by 6:56 p.m. and another inch was possible.
Parts of Baltimore City and Baltimore County are included in the warning, which states excessive runoff from heavy rain will cause small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses to flood as well as other drainage areas and low-lying spots.
These locations may flood, weather officials warned: Baltimore, Middle River, North Point State Park, Sparrows Point, Back River, Millers Island, Dundalk, Essex, Pasadena, Rosedale, Brooklyn Park, Bowleys Quarters, Edgemere, Fort Howard, Eastpoint, Martin State Airport and Turner Station.

The National Weather Service also issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay through the weekend that calls for the following:

Friday: Some storms could produce heavy rainfall in local areas. Isolated cases of flooding are possible.
Saturday and Sunday: More thunderstorms could produce heavy rain as the result of a stationary front, which leaves the possibility of flooding open.
