Gators Head To State Basketball Semifinals

The Perry Hall High School boys basketball team will compete in the MPSSAA state semifinals on Thursday, March 8.

PERRY HALL, MD — The Perry Hall boys basketball team will travel to College Park on Thursday to compete in the state semifinals. The Gators will aim to defend their title, as Perry Hall High School won the class 4A state championship in 2017.

This marks the third time for Gators boys basketball winning the class 4A north regional title in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA). The Gators also won the regional crown in 2016 and 2017.

Last year marked the first time in Gators history for the boys basketball team to win the state title.

In this year's class 4A semifinals, the Gators (19-6) will take on the Gaithersburg Trojans (20-4).

The game will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at the Xfinity Center, University of Maryland College Park, 8500 Paint Branch Drive, College Park, MD 20740.

The state finals for class 4A boys basketball will be at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the Xfinity Center.
