PERRY HALL, MD — The Jersey Mike's store on Honeygo Boulevard is one of several Baltimore area locations donating 100 percent of sales to the Cool Kids Campaign Wednesday.

All sales from all locations in the Jersey Mike's franchise will be donated on Wednesday, according to a statement from the company, which operates more than 2,000 stores.

Locally, restaurant owners around the country pick charities to benefit from the March 31 Day of Giving, identifying organizations “that support local neighborhoods and build a stronger community," according to Jersey Mike's.

This week's effort is part of the Jersey Mike's Month of Giving, which has raised $32 million for local charities since 2011. This year, the sandwich franchise hopes to shatter its own record and raise more than $8 million, according to a news release.
