Jaime Kwebetchou, 27

A visitation was held Tuesday for the man who went missing from the White Marsh area earlier this month. His body was later found in the Hudson River.

Jaime Kwebetchou died at the age of 27.

He was reported missing by his family at the White Marsh precinct on May 8 and was found a week later in the Hudson River. He had reportedly last been seen with friends May 4 in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Kwebetchou was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and most recently lived in Baltimore County near Rosedale. He leaves behind a legacy of an "inspiring attitude" and "love for adventure," according to his obituary, which stated: "Whether you met Jaime on an airplane, through the Air Force, or through many of the neighborhoods he’s lived in...his quick wit, general knowledge, and his ability to genuinely listen to understand (without judgement and positive energy) will forever live on in each of us."

He is survived by his mother Ghislaine Kwebetchou, father Hubert Kwebetchou, sisters Jessica Kwebetchou and Nadine Kwebetchou and other relatives, his obituary stated.

Visitation was from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, at Evans Funeral Chapel, 8800 Harford Road, Parkville, MD 21234.

A funeral will be held in Cameroon at a later date, according his friends, who started a Facebook page to help locate him after he went missing.

There is a GoFundMe page set up for Kwebetchou — described as "full of life and always ready for an adventure" — to "send Jaime on his final adventure."
