Kingsville Independence Day Parade 2017: Road Closures, Live Entertainment

KINGSVILLE, MD — The Kingsville Independence Day Parade is set for Tuesday, July 4.

The parade will begin at 10:50 a.m. on Bellevue Avenue, then proceed down Bradshaw Road to Jerusalem Road, concluding at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 12022 Jerusalem Road.

This marks the 37th year of the parade, which is sponsored by the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company and Greater Kingsville Civic Association. The theme for 2017 is "Salute To America."

Parade schedule

  • 9 a.m. Parade formation
  • 9:50 a.m. Bradshaw and Jerusalem roads close to traffic
  • 10 a.m. Entertainment
  • 10:50 a.m. Parade begins
  • 11 a.m. Opening ceremonies

Live entertainment will begin at 10 a.m. on Bradshaw at Jerusalem roads, including magician Bill Myers, Baltimore City Pipe Band, Oriole bird, Releve Dance & TwirlTasTix baton twirlers and E-Street Dance Academy.

Parade Master Bruce McCubbin will emcee the opening ceremonies, and Christina Massimei will sing the national anthem with the Aberdeen High School Band. The Maryland Air National Guard A-10 will perform a fly-by during the national anthem. The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company will conduct the color guard.

St. John’s Episcopal Church will be open for parade spectators in need of air conditioning at 11901 Belair Road.

Parking and complimentary water will be provided by Grace Community Church, 11611 Belair Road.

The Kingsville Independence Day Parade festivities start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, at Bellevue Avenue. The parade takes place at the triangle of Jerusalem, Bradshaw and Bel Air Roads.

There is no rain date.
