'Little Rich Girl' Demolition: What's The Hold Up?

Patch probes why the former bridal shop hasn't come down yet.

The Poor Little Rich Girl still has some fight left in her.

The now-vacant former bridal shop on Belair Road was supposed to be brought down at the beginning of April... Then again two weeks later.

Poor Little Rich Girl's demolition is Perry Hall's Panda Watch.

April's misfires aren't the first time demolition of the structure has been postponed, although in the past, the cause was a planned protest. This time around, it appears the delays stem from complications with contractors, according to Baltimore County spokeswoman Ellen Kobler.

The county is waiting for contractors to seal sewer pipes before the permitting process can begin.

"It's been very frustrating," County Councilman David Marks, who announced the demolition was moving forward at the beginning of the month, said.

There isn't a specific timeline for when contractors will address the rotting structure's plumbing precautions, although we've been assured that Patch will be the first to know.
