Meet First Baby Of 2018 At Franklin Square
Baby Joe was the first newborn of the year at Franklin Square Medical Center.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The first baby of 2018 at Franklin Square was born at 12:24 a.m., according to hospital officials. The 9-pound, 11-oz baby boy was the first of several New Year's Day deliveries; Franklin Square officials reported there were four babies born in the early morning hours on Jan. 1.
While he was the first baby of 2018 at the hospital, Joe Lumbala is the third child in his family, according to Fox 45, which reported his mother went into labor at 10 p.m. while his two siblings and father awaited.
Joe Lumbala has a 3-year-old sister and 8-year-old brother, according to ABC 2 News, which reported the family had been eagerly anticipating his arrival, particularly since he was due Dec. 27.
