Mission BBQ Reminds Us What Memorial Day is Really About

It isn't every week that Mission BBQ makes a grand gesture like . But it is every day that the Perry Hall restaurant takes a minute to honor the country they fight for.
At noon sharp, seven days a week, servers and patrons alike stop what they are doing to observe the playing of the "The Star-Spangled Banner."

"It's so interesting for us to see first-timers," owner Bill Kraus said. "They're a little bit caught off guard but it doesn't take them long to stand. Others, you'll see them actually looking at their watch anticipating it, excited when they hear the announcement. And they're proud to stand."
