New Traffic Signal To Be Installed On White Marsh Boulevard
A new full-color traffic signal will be installed on White Marsh Boulevard at Campbell Boulevard.
WHITE MARSH, MD — A new traffic signal will be added in White Marsh. It replaces a flashing yellow beacon that was previously at the intersection.
Portable message signs were installed on White Marsh Boulevard/MD 43 at Campbell Boulevard to alert drivers about the change, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation's State Highway Administration.
The signal will be activated at 10 a.m. Friday.

"Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes," the State Highway Administration said in a statement. "Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones."
Thompson Electric of Aberdeen is installing the signal and new reflective pavement markings, for a total cost of $208,000.

Installation of the full-color signal is part of the long-term traffic control plan for White Marsh Boulevard, state highway officials say.
Baltimore County funded the project to make it easier to access local developments as well as the Campbell Boulevard extension to Route 43, according to the State Highway Administration.
