No Jail For White Marsh Peeping Tom: Report

A man who installed a video camera in a mall bathroom gets probation, says media report.

WHITE MARSH, MD — A peeping Tom who placed a video camera inside a bathroom at White Marsh Mall has avoided serving jail time for the crime, according to a media report. A judge in the Baltimore County Circuit Court sentenced Mussawwir Sterrett, 40, to 10 years in jail on Thursday, but suspended the sentence, WBAL-TV Channel 11 reported.

Sterrett will serve five years of probation and must register as a sex offender, WBAL reported.

He surreptitiously placed the camera last year in a family bathroom in the mall, said the Baltimore County police. It was triggered by a motion sensor.
