PERRY HALL, MD – July 4th is here, and we've gathered up the patriotic festivities happening in and around Perry Hall. The Kingsville Independence Day Parade will draw spectators in the morning, and Fullerton fireworks will go off after dark. If you can't make these, we've rounded up some other area events at the bottom of the article.

Bradshaw and Jerusalem Roads closed before 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, in preparation for the 39th annual Kingsville Independence Day Parade.

The 2019 Kingsville Independence Day Parade theme is "United We Stand." Eight marching bands (Aberdeen, C. Milton Wright, Joppatowne, Edgewood, North Harford, Havre de Grace and Patterson Mill high schools and Baltimore City Pipe Band) will be in the parade, with Bill and Mary Jo Button presiding as the grand marshals.

Formation for the parade starts at 9 a.m. at the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, 11601 Bellvue Avenue, Kingsville, MD 21087.

Entertainment will begin at 10 a.m. at the judge's viewing stand, which is located at the corner of Bradshaw and Jerusalem roads. Steve Gambrill "The Extreme Balloon Man," Upper Falls Dance Academy, the Oriole Bird, Baltimore City Pipe Band and White Tiger Martial Arts 2 are among the entertainers.

At 10:50 a.m., the parade starts at the firehouse. It will travel from Bradshaw Road to Jerusalem Road before concluding at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 12022 Jerusalem Road.

Opening ceremonies for the parade are set for 11 a.m. at the judge's viewing stand at the corner of Bradshaw and Jerusalem roads.

What: Fullerton Fireworks
Where: Fullerton Park
When: 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 4
The fireworks will go off at 9:15 p.m. but the party starts at 5 p.m. with music from Awaken as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, funnel cakes, beer, wine, draft beer, pit beef, seafood, Tex-Mex and Italian food for sale. The show costs more than $30,000 each year and is completely funded by the community, through the Fullerton Fireworks Foundation; people can make a donation using Paypal. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Saturday, July 6.

The forecast in Perry Hall calls for a 60 percent chance of rain after 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, with a high of 89 degrees and a low of 75.

"Another hot and humid day is on tap with increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening," the National Weather Service for the Baltimore-Washington region reported Thursday morning. "Some stronger storms could produce heavy rainfall and isolated damaging wind gusts."

The weather service issued a hazardous weather outlook for central Maryland due to the possibility of scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms that may pose isolated threats of damaging winds and flooding.
