Perry Hall Crime Log: Man Punched, Robbed & Other Incidents

Crime Log

New Cut Road, 6900 block, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., June 6. A burglar tried to break into a home by breaking the side door window glass and cutting a rear screen door, although the homeowners’ dog had other ideas in mind. The burglar was reportedly scared off by the barking dog.

Haylock Court, unit block, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., June 5. A burglar stole a Samsung Galaxy tablet from an acquaintance after prying open a window screen and window. The victim reportedly knows the suspect. No charges have been filed.

Belair Road, 8800 block, 9:15 p.m., June 1. A 19-year-old man was robbed by four individuals riding bicycles. The four young-looking (between 12 and 18) suspects approached the victim and his friend. One of the suspects struck the victim in side of the jaw. The victim, now scared, threw his wallet at the suspects. Another suspect stole the victim’s cell phone off of his belt clip. The victim suffered minor injuries. No weapons were involved.

Cliffvale Road, 4100 block, between 8 p.m., June 1 and 11 a.m., June 2. A burglar scaled a barbwire fence to steal four bathroom signs. The intruder broke into the Perry Hall Swim Club’s snack shack by pushing the window glass of its track.

Darleigh Road, 4400 block, Parlo Road, 8900 block, Dearborn Road, 8800 block, between 11 p.m., May 31 and 7:30 a.m., June 1. Three Perry Hall residents reported their cars were broken into. One wallet containing $40 was stolen. The thief left a tire iron at the scene.

Forge Road, 5300 block, between 7 p.m., June 1 and 7:16 p.m., June 3. A burglar stole a SKS semi-automatic 10-shot with wood stock, valued at $250, out of a gun safe. The burglar forced open the rear door, although the gun safe showed no signs of forced entry.
