Perry Hall High Opens Doors for 50th Year

Share your favorite memories of Perry Hall High School.

Baltimore County Public Schools started the 2013-2014 school year on Monday, marking 50 years since Perry Hall High School first opened its doors in 1963.

With the school marching band serenading the first few bus loads of students entering the building, officials focused on commemorating the school's history.

Unfortunately, all of this stands in the shadow of last year's terrifying first day shooting, but school administrators in the county hope recent security upgrades will deter future incidents of violence.
