Perry Hall Lacrosse: Girls Through, Boys Out
The girls will face Western on Friday in the regional quarterfinal.

The Perry Hall boys and girls lacrosse teams were on opposite ends of high-scoring games in the opening round of the MPSSAA regional tournaments Wednesday.Â
The boys were ousted by Howard High School, 20-5, Wednesday while the girls toppled Glen Burnie, 24-2.

Western earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs following an 8-2 season. Perry Hall's girls, however, out-rank the Doves from Baltimore, according to LaxPower.com.
The Gators are ranked 29th in public schools after a 6-6 season, while Western checks in at No. 90 on the list.

Perry Hall breezed into the regional semifinals in 2012 knocking off Poly and Kenwood, 17-1 and 20-1, respectively. The Gators hit a wall in the regional championship, as Catonsville prevailed, 17-6.
