PERRY HALL, MD — A townhouse development has prompted the need for school boundary lines to change that impact Perry Hall, according to Baltimore County Public Schools. The school board has asked the public to weigh in on proposed changes by June 13.

The Village at Gunpowder Falls is being built near Cub Hill at Harford roads. It will include 28 townhouses with garages, according to the plans.

As boundary lines are currently drawn, the cul-de-sac community is split with the northern half of the community districted for Pine Grove Elementary and Perry Hall Middle schools, while residents from homes in the southern half of the community would be sent to Seven Oaks Elementary and Pine Grove middle schools.

Officials are looking at aligning attendance areas so the Village at Gunpowder Falls is districted for one elementary school and one middle school.

The entire development would already fall within the Perry Hall High School attendance area, according to the boundary study conducted by the Baltimore County Public Schools Office of Strategic Planning. Its planners recommend the community feed into Seven Oaks Elementary School and Pine Grove Middle School as well as Perry Hall High School.
