Perry Hall Woman Publishes New Cinderella Story: Report
A Perry Hall resident released a new version of an old fairy tale.

PERRY HALL, MD — A Perry Hall woman recently released her first book and is said to be working on a second. The theme: fairy tales.
Katelyn Brawn's book "Pumpkin Pie" was published in February. Geared toward young adults, it is a modern take on the Cinderella story and follows the escapades of a girl who works at a place called "Hap-PIE-ly Ever After Pie Shop and Restaurant." It is set in the fictional town of Harpersgrove, Maryland.
"...I want to show girls that happily ever after isn’t out of reach, even in the darkest of situations," writes Brawn. Her inspiration comes largely from mentoring a group of artistic roller skaters, according to her bio from the publisher.

"I want them to see that they aren’t alone in the issues they face every day, both big and small," Brawn writes.
Her second book, a "Beauty and the Beast" spinoff, is in progress and is expected to be released in 2019, according to WJZ.
