Police Car Strikes Man Fleeing From Cops

The man was treated at an area hospital and issued a citation for possessing marijuana.

Baltimore County police are investigating a collision where a police vehicle struck a man fleeing from police in Rosedale on Tuesday, according to a department press release.

Police initially responded to the area of Rossville Boulevard and Yellow Brick Road shortly after 7:40 p.m., for a report of possibly criminal activity.

The officers saw two people, who immediately fled. One of them ran into the roadway, and another responding police vehicle struck him.

An emergency crew transported the man to the hospital for precautionary treatment, where he was eventually released and issued a citation for possessing marijuana. Police have not status on the second person.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, according to the release.
