Reactivating the Fifth District Community Advisory Council

The council will meet periodically and share input on issues affecting neighborhoods.

Today, I am announcing the reactivation of the Fifth District Community Advisory Council, a panel of neighborhood and business leaders to discuss issues across the Fifth District.

I formed this group of neighborhood and business leaders earlier, but there was poor attendance and it was decided to reevaluate how to share information across communities.

Now more than ever, we need to work collaboratively to solve problems. For that reason, I contacted neighborhood leaders earlier this week about reactivating the council and meeting once the coronavirus situation has ended.

Membership is open to neighborhood or business association presidents or their designees. Groups should email me at dmarks@baltimorecountymd.gov to be put on the email list if they did not receive my message earlier.

Working together, we can build a stronger Fifth District. The coronavirus has demonstrated that people of goodwill can come together to support one another.
