Reminder: Find Out How You Can Help Perry Hall Watershed (Tonight)

A meeting that will yield a plan for preserving the health of Bird River and by extension the Chesapeake Bay, has been scheduled for June 24 at the Perry Hall Library.

Bird River is a watershed that cuts through White Marsh, Perry Hall and Chase, according to the county's website.

Meeting attendees will learn ways to help Baltimore County craft a plan for clean water as well as be able to provide input into what they want Bird River to look like in the future, according to a county flier.

"This is the first of two public meetings regarding the creation of the Bird River Small Watershed Action Plan, or SWAP," the flier states. "It offers a chance for communities to get involved and learn about the history and project to date, and most importantly, provide suggestions about their vision and priorities for the watershed.

"The purpose of the SWAP is to collaboratively form a Vision Statement and Goals document with the public and identify goals and objectives to improve natural areas in the watershed," the flier continues. "There will be a survey to capture priorities and interactive mapping displays to record areas of concern."
