PERRY HALL, MD — Perry Hall High School will celebrate its new turf field on Wednesday, April 10. The ribbon cutting will take place at 6:15 p.m.

The Gators have waited patiently to play on the artificial turf field at Al Miller Stadium.

Fundraising for the project began in 2016. The Perry Hall High School Athletic Booster Club and alumni association helped generate tens of thousands of dollars for the field. Both Baltimore County government and the state of Maryland allocated funds to support the project too.

Students are looking forward to playing on the artificial turf because it makes the game "faster" and allows athletes to compete more safely in a variety of weather conditions, Perry Hall High School student newspaper The Hallmark reported.
