Flood Warning Issued For Baltimore County

Multiple roads have flooded in the Perry Hall, Parkville and Towson areas.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The National Weather Service placed Baltimore County under a flood warning Thursday afternoon.

A flood warning is in effect until 9 p.m. for Baltimore County.

Weather officials said 1 to 3 inches of rain had fallen by 3 p.m. and 1 to 2 inches more were expected.

These areas have flooded, according to Baltimore County emergency management:

-Harris Ave and Rader Ave: Car Stalled
-Cub Hill Rd and Cromwell Bridge Rd: Water blocking road
Loch Raven Blvd and Joan Ave: Road flooded
East Joppa Road and Satyr Hill Rd: Road flooded/Stalled Car

A flash flood watch remains in effect until midnight.

A severe thunderstorm was detected by radar over Carney before 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Officials said the storm, which was nearly stationary, had 60 mph wind gusts.
Wind may knock down trees and branches, injuring people outside and blocking roads. Power outages are possible, Officials advised people to move to an interior room on the lowest floor.
Authorities issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Baltimore County and Baltimore City until 3:45 p.m.
Northeastern Baltimore City and east-central Baltimore County may be impacted, including these areas: Baltimore, Cockeysville, Towson, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Rossville, Mays Chapel, Timonium, White Marsh, Fallston, Hampton, Kingsville, Lutherville-Timonium, Joppatowne, Lutherville, Nottingham, Glen Arm and Fork.
