Youth Group Leader Charged With Sex Abuse of Teens
Baltimore County police charged Raymond Fernandez of Perry Hall with sexually abusing two teens in 1997, when he was a youth group leader at Greater Grace Church. Fernandez was formally indicted on three counts of child abuse and six counts of third-degree sexual offense, on Dec. 11.
Neighbors Rattled By Perry Hall Double Stabbing
The Perry Hall neighborhood, lined with a mix of townhomes and single-family homes, was the scene of a brutal double stabbing and search in January. Police eventually charged the suspect, and both victims.
Police Surround Perry Hall Home During Break-In, Arrest 2
In February, police arrested the accused burglary team, and said they may have been involved in multiple burglaries in the area. Police eventually identified the suspects.
Burglar Steals $37K in Cash, Valuables from Home
Two Perry Hall residents were the victims of an exceptionally costly home burglary in March, with the total cost of the stolen cash and valuables estimated to be about $37,000.
Baltimore County Women Indicted in Tax Fraud Scheme
In June, two area women were indicted on charges of filing fraudulent tax returns, conspiring to defraud the government, theft of public money and making false statements.
Women Forcefully Robbed at Safeway, White Marsh Mall
In both cases, men working with an accomplice, snatched electronic devices while the victims were either talking on the phone or distracted.
