Tree Falls Onto I-95 North Of White Marsh: MDTA
Traffic stacked up on I-95 north after a tree fell in the road, officials said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A tree fell across Interstate 95 north of White Marsh, blocking lanes temporarily, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority. The closures took effect after 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
Once the tree fell, the two left lanes and left shoulder were blocked on I-95 north past the exit for MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard, officials said.
The lanes had reopened by 4:20 p.m., according to authorities.

Around the time the tree fell, the National Weather Service reported radar showed powerful winds in Baltimore and Harford counties. A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 4:30 p.m. for the area after 60 mph winds and hail the size of quarters were detected over Kingsville and a line of storms was reported from Bel Air to Back River, according to the National Weather Service.
