UPDATE: Service Returning After Water Main Break in Perry Hall
A water main break on East Joppa Road forced one area school to close as public works crews fix the break.

UPDATEÂ 12 p.m.: County Councilman David Marks said his contacts at the Department of Public Works report water services are returning to most areas.
"I'm told that water should be restored (or close to being restored) throughout the Perry Hall and Parkville areas," Marks told Patch.

A water main break in Perry Hall early Tuesday forced public works crews to shut down part of East Joppa Road and led Immaculate Heart of Mary School to cancel classes for the day.
The break occurred in a 12-inch main on the 4100 block of East Joppa Road, near Seven Courts Drive, according to Baltimore County Department of Public Works. Crews closed the roadway in both directions at the site.
The result of the break is a "wider outage than initially expected," according to a public works spokesperson. "[It] may be due to some closed valves."
Baltimore County Public Schools said the break caused water outages at Carney Elementary, Oakleigh Elementary and White Oak Schools. No cancellation of classes has been announced by BCPS.
Public works officials could not give an estimate on when the break would be fixed, as of the publication of this article.
