Two last-minute stand-ins, boys working at Perry Hall Lanes, helped lift the WBAL bowling team to victory in a fund-raiser for the Ray Lewis Foundation.
"I was like holy mackerel, we got a shot at this," WBAL Radio host John Patti remembered thinking to himself when two last minute stand-ins Hunter Machin and Jake Channell joined the team.
The boys both scored in the mid 200s.
The radio station hosted a contest for to round out its team, however only one of the three winners showed up. Machin and Channell, who both work at Perry Hall Lanes, joined the team on short notice.
The bowling tournament was part of a three-day fund-raiser for Ray's Summer Days, which enters its ninth year of collecting donations for children's programs.
