Where Did the Perry Hall High School Speed Camera Go?

Police have temporarily relocated the Ebenezer Road speed camera in Perry Hall to Kingston Road in Middle River following the tragic death of a 9-year-old who was struck by a car on May 1, according to Cpl. Cathy Batton.

There is no fixed date for the portable camera to return to Perry Hall, "but the camera will be cycled back to Perry Hall High School in the coming days," Batton said.

Essex-Middle River Patch reported that police responded to the intersection of Graythorn and Kingston roads at about 5:07 p.m. on May 1. Upon arrival, they found 9-year-old Amaria Gould.

Gould was transported via helicopter to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics Center where she was pronounced dead.

The speed camera will serve as a means to calm traffic through the area.
