3 Helicopters Required After Car, 2 Motorcycles Crash: Police

Maryland State Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash, which required three helicopters for the injured, to contact investigators.

CONOWINGO, MD — Two motorcycles and a car were involved in a crash in Cecil County that sent four people to area hospitals Friday evening, police said. Conowingo Road was closed for more than three hours as emergency officials responded to the incident, according to authorities.

Police said the motorcycles were headed north on Conowingo Road when one was hit by a Buick. The 2004 gold Buick sedan was going south on Conowingo Road.

Both motorcycles had a driver and passenger aboard, police reported. The crash caused the motorcycle that was hit to collide with the other motorcycle, and all four people were thrown off the bikes, according to authorities. Police were dispatched to the crash after 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5.
