4th Annual Film-Making Workshop Kicks Off in HdG
KEG Productions is currently enrolling students for it's fall film classes held in Havre de Grace

Have you ever wanted to learn more about how movie magic is made? For the past three years, local film production company KEG Productions has been giving students an introduction to all aspects of film-making during it’s annual fall workshop. Now in it’s fourth year, the class meets on Saturdays at the Havre de Grace Activity Center (351 Lewis Lane) for eight consecutive weekends from September 12 through October 31, culminating in the class shooting a short film of it’s very own on November 7. The first class is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with each class after that meeting from noon to 4:00 pm. The film shoot on November 7 is all day and will take place in and around Havre de Grace.
Each class is taught either by a member of KEG Productions or a visiting film professional from the area. This year the topics to be covered include screenwriting, acting for the camera, the always popular fight choreography, cinematography, lighting, sound mixing, makeup design, directing and editing. Also, KEG has added a new session this year on “The Business of Acting.” Taught by professional actor Lee Irving, owner of GEM Studios in Delaware, this class will focus on what you need to know in order to break into the professional acting business: headshots, resumes, union, theater, film, television, commercials, agents, managers, casting directors and more.
The class is open to people of all experience levels, from those who are just idly curious about the art of film-making to those who want to make a career out of it. This is not a class for young children and students must be age 13 to adult in order to enroll (KEG also runs some summer workshops in July for younger aspiring film-makers; these have already passed this year but will return in 2016).
