Elkton, MD- Since May 12, 2021, there have been 61 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cecil County and 3 COVID-19-related deaths in Cecil County. Additionally, there have been 78 cases released from isolation.

Since March, 2020, as reported by the Cecil County Health Department, there have been 6,282 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cecil County, and 5,799 of those confirmed cases have been released from isolation. There have been 140 COVID-19-related deaths in Cecil County. Cecil County’s seven-day positivity rate is 3.9%.

COVID-19 Vaccine
COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available now! Anyone 12 years of age or older who has yet to receive a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine may register for an upcoming vaccination clinic at  https://cecilcountyhealth.org/coronavirus/vaccination/.
Cecil County Health Department clinics are open to walk-ins for individuals ages 18 and older. New clinics are added each week. If you need assistance with registering for an appointment, call 410-996-1005 or email cecilcovid.vaccineinfo@maryland.gov.
As of May 19, 44.6 % of Cecil County residents ages 16 and older have received at least one vaccine dose and 36.3% are fully vaccinated. Among older adults (age 65 and older), 73.1% have received at least one vaccine dose and 66.4% are fully vaccinated. Â

To preregister for a vaccine at a Maryland mass vaccination site, visit: https://onestop.md.gov/preregistration. Please note, this preregistration is separate from the Cecil County Health Department’s registration.
Testing
At-home COVID-19 saliva test kits are available for pick-up at the Health Department Monday- Friday, from 8 AM- 5PM. The kits are effective and easy to use. Please call 410-996-1005 during business hours or email cchd.athometesting@maryland.gov to request a kit.
State Mask Mandate Ended:

Capacity Restrictions Lifted:

Cecil County Government
Cecil County Government (CCG) remains committed to protecting the health and welfare of its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, while maintaining essential, core services to the constituents of Cecil County. To safely and incrementally move County operations forward, CCG will reopen County work sites to the public, by appointment only, for essential County business. Therefore, the following protocol is effective beginning June 8, 2020, until further notice:
- Public access to County work sites is limited to appointment only, with as much business as possible being conducted electronically or by telephone.
The vestibule at the Administration Building remains open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to allow for drop-off and pick-ups for Permits, Finance, Housing, Purchasing, Land Use, and Public Works. Please make sure your documents are clearly marked with name/organization and contact information.
- All Cecil County Solid Waste Management Division facilities are open for normal operations. This includes the Central Landfill, Woodlawn, and Stemmers Run Transfer Stations.

In early March 2020, the Cecil County COVID-19 Joint Information Center (JIC) was formed as a means to provide consolidated and thorough information to the citizens of Cecil County.
