Cecil County School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Cecil County is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Cecil County Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

November

• 11/7: End of First Marking Period
• 11/8: Start of Second Marking Period
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Holiday)

December

• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Winter Holiday)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Holiday)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)
• 1/23: End of Second Marking Period
• 1/24: Start of Third Marking Period

February

• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/28: End of Third Marking Period
• 3/29: No School for Students (Professional Day for Staff) - Inclement Weather Make-Up Day #4
• 3/30: No School (Spring Holiday)
