Cecil County Crash Clears After I-95 Shutdown: Officials

Traffic was stacked up on I-95 in Cecil County Tuesday morning, where northbound lanes were closed due to a crash.

CECIL COUNTY, MD — Traffic was backed up for miles in Cecil County Tuesday morning due to a crash on Interstate 95 north. The Maryland Transportation Authority advised after 8:30 a.m. that backups were longer than 2 miles in the area.

The single-vehicle crash was reported on I-95 north past the exit for MD 272/North East Road.

All lanes were closed on I-95 north in the area. Traffic was getting by on the right shoulder.

Drivers were advised to take US 40 as an alternate route.

By 10:30 a.m., officials said that the crash had cleared, and all lanes had reopened.
