Donald Dean McDaniel, 78, of Port Deposit

Donald Dean McDaniel, 78, of Port Deposit, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at his residence. Born Oct. 28, 1936, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Julius Allan and Loma Mae Rose McDaniel.

Mr. McDaniel was a member of Conowingo Baptist Church of Conowingo and was employed by the former General Motors Corporation of Wilmington, Del.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Kennedy McDaniel of Port Deposit; sons Daniel, Ronald, Samuel, Gilbert and Robert; daughters Brenda and Connie; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and brothers Lester and Jim.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his son Donald Dean McDaniel Jr.; three brothers; and four sisters.

A celebration of life has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at 11 a.m., at the Wrightsdale Baptist Churchin Peach Bottom, Pa. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, from 10 until 11 a.m., at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Clair R. Myers Jr. will officiate. Interment will be private.
