The Early Mays in Concert at Deer Creek Coffeehouse
Location: 1022 Main St., Darlington - Date: Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 pm - Suggested Donation: $10-Adults, $5-Youth

The Early Mays (Rachel Eddy, Ellen Gozion and Emily Pinkerton) burst onto the scene in 2014 with a #2 debut on the National Folk-DJ charts and WYEP (Pittsburgh alternative music station) Artist of the Year award. Rhythmic, evocative, dark and wistful, their Appalachian-inspired songs are built on deep country sensibilities, masterful ballad singing and a sweet old-time sound. Fiddle, banjo, guitar and harmonium are the backdrop for vocal harmonies that are "close, perfect high and sweet...as natural as breathing" (LBSPY, Lewisburg, WV). If you love women's three part vocal harmony you will definitely love this trio. Emily may even show us some of her flatfooting expertise. (www.theearlymays.com)
