Escapee Found In Rising Sun: Cecil County Sheriff

Jeremy Thodos has been apprehended, officials say.

RISING SUN, MD — The man who allegedly escaped and was spotted in Rising Sun has been taken into custody, officials say. Jeremy Thodos was apprehended, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office reported after 4:15 p.m on Sunday.

Jeremy Thodos, 29, of the 600 block of Dodson Drive in Rising Sun, was seen at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Dodson Drive, officials reported. He was wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans, according to the report.

Law enforcement officials were working around Dodson Drive Sunday afternoon to capture Thodos, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office advised.

"It is unclear whether he is armed," officials said in a statement, alerting people not to make contact with him.

Court records describe Thodos as a white man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was most recently charged with drug possession and distribution, possession of a firearm and rifle/shotgun with a felony conviction and possession of bulletproof armor, court records show.

Anyone who sees Dodson is asked to call 911 and to refrain from posting about police activity on social media.
