$200M Entertainment Park And Resort In Perryville Planned
The proposed Great Wolf Lodge resort development will bring hundreds of jobs, an indoor-outdoor waterpark and more to Cecil County.

PERRYVILLE, MD — Great Wolf Lodge is planning a resort in Perryville, according to Cecil County and Perryville officials. The company runs nearly 20 water parks and resorts across the country.
The proposed resort in Perryville will feature an indoor/outdoor waterpark, climbing wall, ropes course, 400-room hotel, restaurants, shops and a conference center for 700 to 1,000 people.
Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville will be located on the 44 acres adjacent to the Hollywood Casino near Chesapeake Overlook. Project officials anticipate the development will attract about a half million people each year.

"I've been working hard to bring excitement to our town," Perryville Mayor Robert Ashby Jr. said in a statement released Monday, Dec. 17. "This is a great opportunity for all of us and only the beginning."
The resort will create 450 to 600 jobs, according to local leaders.

Cecil County Economic Development Director Chris Moyer gave the town credit for approaching Great Wolf Resorts, which operates under the Great Wolf Lodge brand.
Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville will become an "economic anchor for Cecil County and a driver for the county's tourism industry," Moyer said in a statement.
The Great Wolf Lodge resorts closest to Perryville are in the Poconos in Pennsylvania and Williamsburg in Virginia.
The Perryville location is expected to open by summer 2022. Construction will cost an estimated $200 million.
