HdG Drama Guild Presents Two Short Plays This Thursday
The Guild's Summer Stock camps will perform "The Lost Half Hour" and scenes from "Spoon River Anthology" at 7:00 Thursday at HdG High School

Time flies when you’re having fun, or sometimes even when you’re not. It seems that all too often we look at the clock and wonder “Where has the time gone?” That is the theme of two short plays that will be presented by the Havre de Grace Drama Guild this Thursday night, July 30, at 7:00 pm at the Havre de Grace High School auditorium.
First, the Summer Stock 2 camp (rising 3rd through 6th graders) will present ”The Lost Half Hour,” a one-act comedy about finding some of that time that seems to have just flown away and bringing it back. Princess Patty sends poor, simple Bobo on a seemingly pointless journey to find a half hour that she ”lost.” Bobo travels to the end of the Earth and back, meeting up with Mother Time herself, and along the way finds several other unexpected items, like a lost temper and reputation.
Next, the Summer Stock 1 camp for rising 7th through 12th graders will perform scenes from ”Spoon River Anthology.” Based upon Edgar Lee Masters’ early 20th century collection of poems, and adapted for the stage by Charles Aidman, this collection of monologues and musical interludes tells the various tales of former residents of Spoon River, Illinois, all of whom have moved on to the grave. Listen in as they tell of their loves and regrets from life, and challenge the traditional impression of what life in small town America is truly like.
