I-95 Vehicle Fire In Cecil County: Lanes Reopen After 3 Hours
Officials said I-95 south was jammed in Cecil County Sunday night after a tractor-trailer fire.

CECIL COUNTY, MD — There was a 2.5-mile backup on Interstate 95 south in Cecil County Sunday night after a tractor-trailer caught fire on the highway. Traffic was impacted for about three hours.
After 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported traffic was temporarily stopped on I-95 south in the area of MD 272/mile marker 97.8 due to the fire.
All lanes were closed on I-95 south after 8 p.m., according to authorities; there was a 2-mile backup at the time.

By 9 p.m., the traffic jam was up to 2.5 miles and one lane had reopened, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Just before 10 p.m., officials reported all southbound lanes were open on I-95.
