Icy Spots Possible in Cecil County on Thursday
Cecil County is included in special weather statement from the National Weather Service about potentially icy roads.

CECIL COUNTY, MD — Drivers are advised to watch out for icy spots Thursday morning in Cecil County, particularly on bridges, overpasses and secondary roads. The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for far northeastern Maryland as well as parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware warning of a wintry mix that could complicate the morning commute.
Patchy freezing rain is the main threat, weather officials said, hitting between 5:30 and 8 a.m. Snow and sleet are possible.
Rising temperatures will reduce the threat of ice. Still, given the possibility of icy spots, drivers should allow themselves extra time and reduce their speeds.
