NKF Golf Classic Teeing Off Sept. 29 at Greystone Golf Course
1st Place Handicap Winners at this signature fundraiser to qualify for Pebble Beach tournament
LUTHERVILLE, Md. – The road to Pebble Beach starts in White Hall, Md. at the NKF Golf Classic, hosted by the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD), Thursday, Sept. 29, at Greystone Golf Course.
Comprising 30 tournaments at top venues across the nation, this signature fundraiser is touted as The Premier Amateur Golf Event for Charity™ with winners qualifying for the National Finals at the famed Pebble Beach Resorts.

Practice and registration begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1p.m. Designed for new golfers and seasoned players alike, this four-person scramble-style tournament comprises Handicap Index and Gross divisions – with first, second and third place winners in each division.
The first place Handicap and Gross Division teams will receive an exclusive invitation to compete in a 54-hole tournament at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Links at Spanish Bay, Jan. 12-15, 2017 – with complementary airfare to California included.

“We are committed to offering a first-class day of fun for a great cause that will make golfers want to return year after year,” said Event Chair Greg Miller (vice president, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield).
Event registration is $1,200/foursome, which includes greens & cart fees, a boxed lunch, on-course activities and contests (Putting, Closest to the Hole, Longest Drive and Hole in One), an awards dinner and premium golfer gifts.
Sponsorships are also available. The event is sponsored nationally by CBRE with local sponsors to date including ALTEK Information Technologies, CA Technologies, Optimity Advisors, SC&H and Southwest Airlines.
Proceeds will directly support NKF-MD’s patient emergency assistance program (providing food, housing aid, utilities, medical and dental support, medication and transportation to dialysis), as well as vital research at Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland. Since the event’s inception in 1990, more than 2,000 golfers have teed off, raising almost $2 million for NKF-MD.
