Perryville Under Severe Thunderstorm Warning
BREAKING: The warning was issued as a line of storms with hail and 60 mph gusts was detected in the area.

PERRYVILLE, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Cecil County. The warning is in effect until 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
At 7:16 p.m., weather officials said a line of severe thunderstorms was detected on radar from White Marsh to Lake Shore to Marlton, moving southeast at 40 mph.
Wind gusts of 60 mph and penny-size hail are possible. Roofs, siding, trees and power lines may become damaged.

During the severe thunderstorm warning period, people should go inside to stay safe from wind and lightning.
Do not drive underneath wooded areas until the threat has passed, as trees and branches may fall. Roads may become blocked, and localized power outages are possible, according to the warning.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday.
